Stephen Beck

Stephen is well known as a Theatre Consultant, specialising in theatre design. His career encompasses professional theatre production and musical performance. Stephen studies voice with Geoffrey Ashenden and has also received coaching from internationally renowned musician and composer David Harper. His performances include the roles of Georg Von Trapp in The Sound of Music and Colonel Fairfax in The Yeomen of the Guard (for the Ignatians Musical Society), the Earl of Mountararat in Iolanthe (for Queensland Musical Theatre) and Jamie in My Fair Lady (for the Savoyards Musical Comedy Society). For Opera Queensland, he has performed the roles of Father in the chamber opera production of Hansel & Gretel and Messenger in La traviata (and understudied the role of Baron Douphol in the same production), as well as appearing in the chorus of La bohème, The Marriage of Figaro, A Masked Ball, Romeo and Juliet, Nabucco, The Barber of Seville, Turandot and La traviata.
